Tour Packages Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft)

Flying to Kathmandu on a clear day is itself an exciting experience. For your convenience, our support team will pick you at the airport and guide you to your hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for rest.

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and preparation for the trek

Kathmandu is the cultural and historical centre of Nepal. Kathmandu showcases the perfect mix of Tibetan Buddhism, Hinduism and western influence. Your second day of 14 Days Sherpa Culture Trek will start with a tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft): 40 min flight, 3-4 hours trek

Flying to Lukla from Kathmandu always gives you an electrifying experience. You will enjoy a scenic 30-minute flight to Lukla, then start the real trekking adventure in the Everest region. After meeting your guide at the airport, you climb up to the Dudh Koshi Valley and then spend the night in Phakding

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft): 5-6 hours

The trail leading to Namche takes you through the round river, crossing several times via the high suspension bridges. After a few hours, you reach Monjo, the entry point to the Sagarmatha National Park. You then take a steep trail to Namche.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): Acclimatization Day

The fifth day of your Sherpa Culture 14 Days Trek is set aside for much needed rest. Surrounded by the stunning mountains in a tranquil woodland, today is the day you get to acclimatize and relax.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Thame (3736m/12255 ft): 5 – 6 hours

From Namche, the trail turns west and takes you into the Bhotes Koshi Valley. Passing several Mani walls and fluttering prayer flags, you descend to the Bhote Koshi Valey, climb to Thame. From the Thame village, you get to experience the remarkable views of the mountains, including Mt. Teng Kangpoche and Mt. Kwangde. You will also be able to visit the Thame gompa.

Day 07: Thame to Khumjung (3786m/12,419 ft): 5 hours

From Thame village, you follow a tranquil trail that leads to the spectacular Khumjung. This village also has a Gompa at the top. You will camp in the village and get the opportunity to observe the marvelous views of Thamserku, Katenga and Ama Dablam.

Day 08: Khumjung to Phortse (3542m/11,617 ft): 5 hours

You descend down to Phortse from Khumjung. From here, you cross the lower slopes of Khumbila, enjoying the picturesque views of the peaks, including Phortse and Ama Dablam.

Day 09: Phortse to Pangboche (3985m/ 13,070 ft): 4 – 5 hours

On day 9 of your Sherpa Culture 14 Days trek, you start with a short but hard climb alongside a cliff to Pangboche. Upon reaching Pangboche, you pay a visit to the Pangboche Gomba. You will also get to check out the beautiful houses and terraced fields in the village.

Day 10: Pangboche to Tengboche (3864m/12,673 ft): 2 hours

Leaving Pangboche, you take the main route to the Everest Base Camp before ascending to the Tengboche village. In Tengboche, you pay a visit to the Tengboche monastery and observe the 360-degree view of the Himalayas.

Day 11: Tengboche to Namche Bazaar: 5 – 6 hours

Today is mostly a downhill trek. You walk down to the bridge over the Dudh Koshi and observe driven prayer wheels. After trekking some hours, you finally reach Namche and spend the night.

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla: 6-7 hours

Today, Sherpa Culture 14 Days Trek’s trail follows the Dudh Koshi River Valley down to Lukla. In this last evening, you get to experience a party with the Sherpa guides and porters.

Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu

You catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is reserved for rest or you can enjoy roaming around.

Day 14: Final Departure

Your 14 Days Sherpa Culture trek ends today. Our support team will take you to the airport for your flight home. You will leave Nepal with a life-changing experience.
