Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu
A representative from our company will come to receive you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. You will check into your hotel and then briefed about the Kathmandu and Bardia National Park tour. In the evening, you will be greeted with a welcome dinner, which will introduce you to authentic Nepalese food.
Day 2 Sightseeing around Kathmandu:
On the second day of the Kathmandu valley and Bardia National Park tour you will be checking out the UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu.
The first destination of the day will be Basantapur Durbar Square (Kathmandu Durbar Square). The courtyards, streets, palace, temple (built in pagoda style), architecture and monuments of the area are the perfect reflection of the craftsmanship of the medieval times.

After sightseeing at Bhaktapur you will be driving towards Nagarkot. It is a popular tourist destination, which is famous for its breathtaking view of sunsets over the Himalayas. Basking in the amazing views the powerful sunset will mark the end of day 3. You will spend the night at Nagarkot.
Day 4 Flight to Nepalgunj and drive towards Bardia National Park:
You will be starting the fourth day of your Kathmandu valley and Bardia National Park tour of 8 days by enjoying the sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast, you will drive towards Tribhuwan International Airport to catch a flight to Nepalgunj. It will take an hour to reach Nepalgunj by air. From here, it is a 2 hour drive to Bardia National Park.
After having lunch you will be visiting a typical Tharu village of the indigenous people here. You will be visiting the Bardia National Park, where the main attraction is crocodile farming. The overnight stay at Bardia National Park will mark the end of day 4.
Day 5 Excursion in Bardia National Park:
After having breakfast, you will begin your journey deep into the woods by foot in the company of an expert guide. The National Park is home to a number of animals like the one horn rhinoceros, Asian elephant, hog deer, spotted deer, striped hyena, black buck and wild boar.
At different places of the jungle there are towers where you can wait for wildlife to pass by. Your guide will help you spot the wild animals. After the tour of the jungle you will have dinner. You can also take part in the traditional dance of the Tharu. You will be spending the night of day 5 at the National Park.
Day 6 Safari in Bardia National Park:
On the sixth day of the Kathmandu valley and Bardia National Park tour of 8 days you will be driving to Chisapani, which is a village that sits over Karnali River. After having breakfast a drive of an hour will take you to Chisapani.The safari float here is a great way to experience the river and its wildlife.
A guide will be accompanying you while you admire the sub-tropical landscape with amazing wildlife. Wild animals’ drinking water on the bank of the Karnali river is a common sight. Karnali is the habitat of endangered animals like mash mugger, gangetic dolphins and the gharial crocodile. The trip is perfect for bird watching as there is a variety of migratory as well as resident birds.
A cultural dance from the Tharu people followed by an overnight stay at Bardia National Park will mark the end of day 6.
Day 7 Drive to Nepalgunj and flight to Kathmandu:
After having breakfast, you will be going on an elephant-back jungle safari. The elephant usually head northwest, which increases the chances of encountering animals like languor, monkeys, deer, rhinos and boars. Riding on elephant back also prevents possible animal attacks in the wild.
Day 7 will be last day of your excursion in the National Park. You will be traveling to Nepalgunj to catch the flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 8 Return to Kathmandu:
Day 8 is your last day on the Kathmandu Valley and Bardia National Park eight days tour. A representative from our company will drop you at the airport before your scheduled flight.
