Day 1: Drive Kathmandu to Charikot
You wake up early in the morning, then take a private jeep to Charikot along the picturesque Arniko Highway. Today’s trail ascends gradually, crossing the Sun Koshi and Vote Koshi rivers, then slowly climbs down to Charikot.
You will have lunch at Charikot and spend the afternoon exploring. If you wish, you can also check out the famous roofless Dolakha Bhimsen temple in the city.
Overnight stay in a simple hotel.
Day 2: Trek Charikot to Campsite
On day two of the ‘5 Day Kalinchowk Temple Trek’, your real trekking adventure to the Kalinchowk temple begins. You have breakfast early in the morning, then ascend up towards the campsite through the village of Deurali. On this track, you get to observe the impressive rhododendron forests and a variety of birdlife.

Day 3: Trek to Kalinchowk Temple, then to Kuri Camp
Today, you ascend up towards the Kalinchowk Bhagawati Temple, relishing in the panoramic views of Numbur and Gauri Shankar Himal. The temple stands at the height of 3,800m and is a significant
pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The temple also offers you the chance to enjoy stunning views of terraced landscapes and amazing Himalayan scenery.

Day 4: Descend to Charikot
The 5 Day Kalinchowk Temple Trek’s 4th day is mostly downhill. From the temple, you descend down to Charikot at a much faster pace. The rest of the day is reserved for rest.
Day 5: Drive back to Kathmandu
You get up early in the morning, then take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. If you have time, you can enjoy picking up souvenirs or strolling around on the streets of Thamel.
